Overview

Vigeland Sculpture Park, inside Frogner Park, is the world’s largest sculpture park by a single artist — more than 200 bronze and granite figures by Gustav Vigeland, including the famous Monolith and the Angry Boy (Sinnataggen). The park is open around the clock and free, and is one of Oslo’s most visited sights.

The nearest metro station is Majorstuen, the hub where all five lines meet. From the station it is about an 8–10 minute walk to the main entrance on Kirkeveien. To reach the gate directly, tram 12 stops right outside at Vigelandsparken.

The park is open all year. In summer it fills with life, picnics and swimmers at the Frogner pool, while the Angry Boy and the bridge lined with bronze figures are photo favourites in every season.
